Backyard scarf and gloves

I started Backyard Leaves last December, but put it away a few repeats from completion at the beginning of the spring. A few weeks ago, I got it out and finished it up.

I loved the textured, sculptured look of the leaves, so I very loosely blocked it, stretching it more lengthwise than widthwise.Yarn: Knitpicks Ambrosia (cashmere and alpaca-so soft and warm!)Neeldes: US 6Pattern: Backyard Leaves from Scarf StyleAnd when I saw the scarf, I knew it needed some matching fingerless gloves. I designed the gloves on the fly, using a leaf lace/cable stitch pattern from my stitch calender.

I got both gloves out of 1 ball of Indeceita Alpaca (discontinued, sport weight 100% Baby Alpaca), a Christmas gift from Hub.

March of Diamonds

This is my favorite sweater ever!

I bought this yarn at the end of March and started it in April. The body and sleeves flew along, but the weather got too warm, so I put it away for the winter. At the beginning of October, I pulled it back out and got to knitting.

I realized a few rows into the yoke that, uh, it wasn’t centered. I decided go with it and made a asymmetrical neckline. Yarn: Malabrigo Worsted in Amore, 4 skeins Needles: US10 (proof that I do, in fact, have a head, no matter what the commenters might say)
