Who’s the Blonde Chicken?

Hi! I'm Tara and I'm the Blonde Chicken behind all this yarn! You can read more about how I got this silly nickname here or come learn about crafting a business here.

Flowered Inspiration

The rainy weather hasn’t been that conducive to pretty yarn-pictures, but it has been great for yarn-inspiration, in the form of wildly blooming flowers.

YIP 7 Azalea? Rhododendren?
This is right outside my front door. Is it a rhododendron?
Last weekend I needed a lift, so I visited the local garden center to look for inspiration in nature. Here’s a little photo-tour:
Petunias

Delphiniums? I think?

i love those double begonias shape…but the other red is more interesting.
as colour combination, i like the contrast (and the “royalty”) of the blues and creams of those delphiniums ones.

that is a good way of getting inspired. try food markets.. :)

    Oh, I love those too!
I actually love the food markets, also…last year I did a series inspired by them: http://moourl.com/jtina!
    Great minds…

I love the colors of the begonias (including the leaves!) and the petunias. I think they would translate to great yarns and fiber.

Wow, beautiful flowers! I love flowers! I think the Alyssum is my favorite, though they are all beautiful.

    I love purple!

Alyssum is my favorite too – the sweet teeny tiny blossoms! So cute!
    Thanks for sharing!

Mmmm. I like the first ones the best. Your rhododendrons. They are so cool how they bloom in a little cluster like that and make an orb shape. Such a pretty color too. I have a brugmansia outside my door. Google it to see what the blooms can look like. They're incredible! And at night they smell really nice. Thanks for sharing your garden…

I believe the first flower is an azalea. We have tons of them in Alabama! So pretty. Lots of inspiration here. Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures.
