Who’s the Blonde Chicken?

Hi! I'm Tara and I'm the Blonde Chicken behind all this yarn! You can read more about how I got this silly nickname here or come learn about crafting a business here.

Good Beginner Lace?

Next month I’m teaching a lace class at my yarn shop and I’m trying to pick a good lace pattern.

I want something with charts, with paired increases and decreases, and plenty of challenge.

You can see my current picks here.

Which one do you prefer? Should I pick one from this list or would you start with something else?

(let me know in the comments of right here and not on A Novel Yarn, because I don’t want us to skew the voting over there!)

i have knit both Ishbel and Multnomah, both are fun knits with lovely end products. (i love to knit lace though!) I think for a beginner class Multnomah is a great starting place. Plus the yardage and size are wonderful for a first timer.

    Thanks!
I haven't knit any of them and it's good to have a first hand account!
